Bananas are the best food to eat in the first weeks of smoking cessation. Bananas are high in Potassium which helps the body recover from the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. They are rich in fibers which regulate the bowel movement and help the body to get rid of smoking toxins. Bananas are high in tryptophan which helps the body to make Serotonin that gives the sensation of relieve and happiness.
Chewing gum keeps the mouth busy and gums last for longer time in mouth than cigarettes do, if you have the urge to smoke go for a sugar-free gum and it will satisfy you.
There are some foods that make cigarettes taste horrible, milk is one of them. As reported in a study, smokers said that drinking a glass of makes cigarettes taste worse and reduces the appeal of smoking.
